To top off Sat night, went around to David's place and just had a YSA get together. I just want to say that playing foosball with way too hyped up "foosball men" are rather scary. It is the first time that I've had the ball jump out of the table. It was a close match, and always fun when you just edge out your opponents! I guess this makes up for the terrible loss that both my Red and White teams suffered this weekend.
Then on Sunday, had a gathering with the extended family, where we BBQed Asian style. I was sooo full by the end of the weekend. Thankfully, I think the next big gathering will be Christmas. So hopefully my body and metabolism would have forgiven me by then.
Do I look Asian enough now??? Went to the LIverpool Stake Ball on Fri night, which had an Asian flair.
BTW, thanks Da, for helping me change my blog. Now I have a picture of the moon to celebrate Autumn Moon Festival!
This week has also been a time of reflection for me. I watched "9/11" the documentry on the 7th Anniversary. The NYFD were unbelievably brave and when I get a chance to visit NY again, I'll be sure to give them a hug. The heroism that they displayed and their bravery were beyond words. It truly is a great thing to see people care so much for each other.
I see the world around us and I see so much hardship and yet at each trial and tribulation, so much love are shown. Love for each other, love for family, for friends even the environment. I think as I grew older, I've come to appreciate certain media that are available. I know as a teenager, I would have been bored by documentries or shows like 60 minutes. But as I have gotten older, I've come to appreciate these things, and appreciate the opportunity to add onto my knowledge. I hope certain values and lessons that I have learnt throughout my life will be passed on to my future generations.
