Simple face wipe samples

I was recently lucky enough to test out the Simple face wipes. They also gave me a whole bunch of samples to share with my friends. 

It's a nice and refreshing product to use and great for the end of the day to take off makeup. 

I envisage that I will be using this product more when I return back to work. 

Audrey's Baby Blessing

Today Audrey received her baby blessing at church given by her father. It was a beautiful blessing that would help her throughout her life. Audrey it is our hope that you will great up knowing that your family loves you very much and that your Father in Heaven also loves your very much. Your Heavenly Father knows and cares for you and we hope that you will be receptive to the blessings and promptings from your Father in Heaven.

It was great to be able to share the experience with friends and family, I think the bishop was happy that an extra 40-50 people turned up at church today.

It was also an extra special day, because little Audrey's blessing happened on the same day as mummy's birthday. Sorry Audrey, but mummy and daddy is not very good at taking photos of everyone that turned up today, but here are some photos of some of the things that happened today.

Love that first laugh

There are so many firsts in a baby's life, and as a parent I think what we look forward to most is the first smile that leads to a laugh.

Little Audrey gave us that first really laugh on Sunday (23 Feb 2014) that just past, after we changed her her daddy was holding her. She then proceeded to do a huge poo, at which point Jacob and I just started to laugh uncontrollably. To which Audrey responded with her own laugh. We love her very much.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentines Day! This year Jacob and I celebrated by him attending a sleep study at Woolcock for the whole weekend. So it is a pretty good Valentine's present to me.. I get to sleep in the King Bed all by myself without listening to his snoring!

Today was also Elijah's second day at Childcare and today broke my heart. I think he was a little traumatised from last week, so when I dropped him off he was happy to go in and play but needed me to be there with him. When I went to say goodbye to him, he started to cry and wouldn't let go of my hand. It was so heartbreaking.

When I went to pick him up this afternoon, as soon as he saw us he started to cry again. But apparently throughout the day he had more good moments than bad. So hopefully a few more weeks and he will be ok. We're also hoping that he will eventually start eating lunch and take a nap at Childcare. If anyone has any advice on how to speed up the process, please let us know.

The first month of Audrey

Audrey has been such a blessing to our lives, she is a wonderful baby who sleeps very well. Of course she adheres to the baby code of the "witching hour" which is slightly tiring, but throughout the night she sleeps well and only gets up every 3-4hrs for a 15 min feed. Which allows me to actually get a pretty good night rest, and allows me to spend the day keeping up with her brother Eli, who is like a tornado, so full of energy and never stops.

I do however feel sorry for the second child, I realised that we have hardly took any photos of little Audrey whereas with Eli there were millions of photos within the first week.

Elijah starting Childcare

This is a monuments day for our family, Elijah is now 21 months and we thought it was about time that he spent more time with other kids and develop more social skills.

When we got to his Childcare Centre he was great, went straight for the door of his room and was excited to go in. As soon as we opened the door he was happy to start playing. Didn't even care when we said "goodbye" to him. He was just happy to play outside.

Although I think as nap time came he finally realised that we weren't around. That is when it went downhill. I received a call from them to say that Eli was really unsettled and that we should pick him up. Oh well he did last from 9-3:30pm. Not bad for the first day.
