This has been a long time coming. St George Dragons last won the Grand Finals 31 years ago, before I was even born. Our family then moved to Australia 20 years ago, we moved to Kogarah, the proud St George Dragons heartland. Ever since then I have followed the Dragons. We made it to the Grand Finals to play Broncos twice, and twice we lost to them... Heart break in the early 90s. We made it again few years later 1996, this time against Manly, once again heart break.
We had a really strong chance in 1999, but if it wasn't for the poor referee decisions, we would have won against Melbourne. Once again shattered.
2009, Minor premiers, we had a strong chance. But the Eels took us out early in the Finals series, and we just never recovered.
As a Dragons supporter though, we never falter and we never give up on our team. We are always there for them... and in 2010, they delivered. It was nail biting for me, and I'm not sure whether my heart could take it by half time, but boy did they DELIVER!
First, we were Minor Premiers again!
