Sydney's Freakish Weather

From a dust storm that Sydney has not seen in decades (basically a once in a life time event, which somehow happened twice in one week), to a hail... all in the space of two weeks. I have to say we are experiencing some freakish weather.

On Wednesday 23 September 2009, Sydney experienced a dust storm that truly shocked the city. Mum woke me up at 5:30am to get me to look out the window, I was like huh... it's way too early to look out the window or comprehend what was going on. I looked out the window and it was just red.... totally unbelivable. Ver much the end of the World type of thing. Here are some of the pictures that took throughout the day.

The view from our study... usually we can see the edges of the Blue Mountains
View from the bedroom... around 5:30am, when it got a bit lighter to take a photo
With the flash... see all the dust particles... I should have remebered to close my bathroom window. Instead I had a slightly red looking sink.
Dust on the BLACK car
Dust on the window, see the tinge of red
Driving off to work at around 7am, the dust was beginning to lift, we can actually see a bit further ahead, instead of just the next building
Dust on the WHITE car
Me being truly Asian, wearing an Asian face mask, to protect me from the dust
Dusty view from work at around 8am, can't even see the Harbour Bridge
At around 9am
The ust starting to clear at around 11am
Early afternoon, when we can finally see the clear sky again, and see the beautiful harbour
So from the dust storm 2 weeks ago, we have hit a few 30 degree days, we were welcoming Summer. But somehow Summer disappeared, and winter came back again, bringing with it below 20 degree temps, and "snow" on Tuesday 6 October, 2009.
Hail covered the grass making it look like snow
Raining hail
