For those who have read my previous posts ... it has nothing to do with Ba ba ba BOOM...
Went out on Sat morning with dad to Carlingford, dad had to stop by the Temple and I went to the florist to get some things sorted. All was going well, it was almost noon, so dad and I shared a meat pie (very Aussie indeed) before heading home.
On the way home, our usual drive.... we were going along Seven Hills Rd, a little red hatchback infront of us were going at 40km in a 60km/hr zone... so there was a nice line of cars behind her slightly getting agitated and impatient, but because it is a single lane no one could actually overtake.
As we get towards Bingara Cres., we were heading back towards Bella Vista, it became 2 lanes, so I went into the right lane, as I was turning right at the next lights. The slow red car went into the left lane, so a lot of cars followed me. I put my right blinker on as I approached the intersection (I'm sure I gave plenty of warning). Anyway I was about to turn, because I had a green light, but not specific for turning light... so I proceeded into the intersection. Realise there was a car coming from the other direction in relatively quick speed, so I stopped and didnt turn. Next thing I know... BOOM... someone rear-ended me.
Luckily I had my foot on the break, so I didn't go hitting another car coming in the opposite direction or anything like that. Getting hit by a Jeep meant that our family car came off worse for wear than his did. But luckily he wasnt going that fast... so it means, the left rear got bumped....
Overall damage...
* the left hatch door... dented in. I also lost the 1 from my 1.8, I know have a 8 L... how cool!
* Left bottom panel, dented in and scratched
* Left bottom bumper bar, dented in and scratched
* Rear lights, cracked...
My neck is slightly sore at the moment, just slight whiplash I guess... guess it doesn't help when I came off with a sore neck and back from the accident I had previously as a passenger. Dad is ok (it's either that or he is still going through the Adrenaline rush).
I was a bit shaky straight after the accident, and dad drove home afterwards. I think a bit more rest will help with my sore neck. What a way to start the weeknd right!
Luckily we both have insurance!
