On this day, I was working in the office, when a friend sent through an email informing me that Steve Jobs died. This lead to me ringing up my Apple Fanboy husband to see if he was ok.
For him the news was a bit sadder to take. On this day, when he received the news, he was working at the Apple Flagship store in Sydney. He was told by customers, and he had to check the internet to make sure that it was real.
He was there when the Apple light was turned off at 3:00pm, EST. He watched as people laid flowers outside the store. He watched as news crew lined up outside to interview fellow Apple fans about their reaction.
He even got teary at one stage.
Honey, at least you can say on this momentous day when Steve Jobs died, you were working for Apple.
