A San Churro just opened up recently on the Parramatta eating strip. So I was kinda excited, considering I havent been to San Churro for over 1 yr, adn they do have pretty nice hot chocolates.
However this last trip was a disaster.... I will let my email to the Manager of San Churro Parramatta explain the whole evening...
I personally really like your churros and like your hot chocolates, so on Saturday night I decided to take my friends to the Parramatta store. We were there around 8:00pm, the upstair sitting and downstair sitting were full, but there were still quite a few tables available outside. This suggested to us that it still wasn't so busy.
We proceeded to order 1 hot chocolate, 1 iced chocolate and a plate of Churros for 2 to share. We made the order at 8:21pm as stated by my receipt, but did not receive our simple 3 orders till 9:05pm. It took over 40 mins to deliver 3 pieces of food. We also had a 2 year old child with us who could not sit around for over 40mins with nothing in front of us.
What turned out to be a pleasant evening soon turned to frustration.
What was even worse was the people that I saw line up behind us somehow got their orders before us, considering they got their number tag after us and took their seats after us... but their order number was before ours. Was there some sort of malfunction or did our orders get forgotten?
What is amazing is that for a place that calls themselves SanChurro... they could not get their main meal item of Churros to customers within an appropriate time.
It would be like calling "El Krispy Kreme" but then turning around and making their customers wait over 40mins for doughnuts.
Could you please explain to me under what curcimstances would churros take 40 mins to cook, or how could a cafe or restaurant make customers wait over 40mins after ordering for any type of a meal? Or the staff taking the order from customer should actually inform customers that there will be over 30mins waiting period on the signature dish of the cafe.
This unpleasant and unimpressive experience means that our friends will now tell their friends not to go to your establishment as the waiting period for any type of food is just wait too long.
And now I'm telling the internet world that the waiting period for Churros at San Churro is just way way way tooo LONG!
