My husband was pretty stoked about this movie coming out... he loved Borat (he wishes he had a lime green mankini) and couldn't wait to watch "Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner In A Mesh T-Shirt"

So our thoughts on the movie... It certainly was provocative.

The GOOD...
Cohen is a pure genius. The fact that he can totally transform from Borat to Bruno is absolutely amazing. You so wouldn't have realised it was the same person. You will be laughing the whole time that you watch this film. Some parts you really cringe because you think to yourself, are people really that stupid and how do they not realise that this can't be for real. The parents of the baby models shuold be ashamed of themselves... it really puts an awful light on parents and the industry.

The BAD...
The film is truly cringe worthy... some parts of the film seriously are not necessary... The nudity went on for way way way too long, I looked away multiple times thinking it will be finished... but lo and behold... it still wasn't. Seriously not necessary....
The formula for this film is too close to Borat, you have the side kick and over the top antics, just with a different character.

So the verdict... to watch or not to watch. If you want to see how stupid some people really are, then yes watch it. Like I said it is provocative. Although the over the top antics and unnecessary scenes did turn me off the film. Mind you, having said that, I wonder if Cohen can invite another character and change the formula of the film. Or do we just wait to see how many peopel out there are still anive enough to fall for his stunts.
