This was a good weekend to enjoy the General Conference. It is always a great and wonderful experience to hear the Prophet speak.
This weekend, I was glad to get an extra long weekend.
Thursday started off with a half day, thanks to work. I got to catch up with Kitty, Ee and Bec for lunch and dessert. Hmm it was nice. Then I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening shopping... It kinda isnt the best way to celebrate anniversaries and stuff, but hey I guess it had to be done.
Friday I woke up early and cooked for Jacob's family. Let's just say having to cook for like 15 people can be rather daunting. I may need a few more months before I'm ready to cook again. Especially when halfway through the morning we had to rush off to Mel's baptism. It was really interesting to see baptism at other churches, and see how other church's works. What an interesting weekend for eye-opening experiences.
Saturday I met up with high school friends Mitch, Amy and Ren for Yum Cha lunch. It was yummy. I kinda miss having Yum Cha in the city, we managed to ride my scooter in. I love the ability to park wherever I want :)
Saturday evening, Jacob treated me to a Ghost Tour at the Quarantine Station at Manly. It was to celebrate various milestones and I had a good night. Although no ghostl experiences though. Someone in our tour group did say that they did feel a creepy type of feeling at the left corner of the showers. It was interesting to see how many different ghost stories other people had, but sitting in certain rooms and places, such as the Morgue and Hospital and stuff... I didn't really get freaked out. Then again I wasn't really keen on walking around dark places by myself either. I very much kept to the crowd. Mitch, in our tour we didn't have any Ghost Catchers..... so on your tour, your experience was fully real!
