For everyone who knows me, I love my small appliances.
So before I decided to buy my Food Processor, I trolled through the net, read reviews, etc to try and find the best possible food processor.
I thought I made the right choice in buying the MagiMix 3200XL. It cost me more than $550 and it was suppose to slice, dice, chop ... etc etc... with a 3 yrs parts warranty and a 30 yr motor warranty! Too good to be true!
Well guess what, it was too good to be true! After only 15 months of purchase and only 5 times of use, the spindle rotator is now stuck. I can't even take off the outer bowl to clean it.
This is where the company could have redeemed itself, but no, it decided not to take that road. Instead it decided to go for WORST PRODUCT of the YEAR and combine it with WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE of the year.
We first rang the repair centre, to which it just rang out, since no one picked up we emailed MagiMix Australia. They replied with, you have to ring our service centre! Wow super helpful (NOT!).
MM must have told their service centre to put the answer machine on, because the next time round, it rang and rang, but at least there was an Answering Machine. So the waiting game begins...
Finally got a call back, was told must bring the whole MM machine to their Centre at Bondi Junction (which is a 1.5hr drive from the Hills Shire), and there was no other Authorised service centres available in all of Sydney?!?!? Then was told that it will most likely NOT be covered by warranty.
How can a $550 machine be sooooo BAD!
Rang MM Australia to discuss this crappy warranty they offer and about Bondi Junction being very inconvenient and how do I drop it off during non-working hours, since most people also work 9-5 as well. Was told that it is the USER'S FAULT, and nothing they can do.
Well I'm so glad that after you sell your expensive products to customers and then forget about them completely!
I don't think in this day and age where most people review the internet before making a purchase that you can be so blasé about your faulty products or the lack of customer service. But if you choose to treat your customer like so, then I hope this post and my other web review reach the masses, so that your customers would think twice about buying your product!
