Happy First Father's Day

Dearest Daddy

I know last night I woke you up every 3 hrs for a feed, that is because I am a growing little boy and just got really really hungry. But I really wanted to wish you a Happy Father's Day.

I love you so much Daddy, you help look after mummy and me.

I love your snores because it lets me know that you are around.

I love you when you put me to bed despite the fact that I put up a fight and keep crying. But you hold me to keep me safe, and you keep patting me till I fall asleep.

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day (Taiwan)

8 August (Ba Yu Ba Hao)

In Chinese BaBa means Dad, which is a great day to celebrate Father's Day. So Happy Father's Day to my Dad who have really sacrificed so much for his family and whom I love very very much.

Today I saw a truly devoted son, and it reminded me how much more I need to do to show my love to my dad.

This afternoon at the food court of Carlingford Court, I saw a Young Men, he was maybe in his early 20s (wearing a Hong Kong International School jumper). He ordered 4 different dishes, and he would cut up each dish into tiny bites and feed it to his father. His father was confined to a wheel chair and was unable to move his limbs. It seems like his father may have suffered a stroke and was no longer mobile. The son did not complain nor murmur, but patiently and lovingly cut up each piece of his father's favourite food and fed him slowly. The son did not eat at all during this time, but he wanted to make sure that his father was looked after and fed first.

For the 20mins that I was there I witnessed the love the son had for his father and it brought tears to my eyes. I wish that when my son grows up he will have the same patience and love for his parents.

Before we left the food court, mum went up to them to let the son know that he really is a good son. I rally wish the best for him and his family.

And Dad, I just wanted to let you know that I love you dearly.
