For the last two years I have been growing my hair so that I can donate it to charity. The cut off hair needs to be over 35cm, so it took a while. It was especially harder for the last few months because Elijah has started to grab, and every once in a while he would grab onto my hair and tug it hard.
So to a certain degree I was quite glad when my mum finally took a scissors to my hair.
Now I have some hard choices to make about where my hair should go?
Either Cancer Council Victoria (I can't seem to find similar thing for NSW) or Princess Charlotte Alopecia Foundation.
When I read this story on SMH, it really touched my heart. This is the story of a little girl called Milly (7yrs old) who has been growing her hair for 2 years, so that she can donate her hair to make a wig for her sister who suffers Alopecia.
Although I have saved about 10 locks of my hair over the past 25 years, so I might divide them up and give half to the Cancer Council and half to Princess Charlotte....
